About FTG Bible College
This is also the heart behind FTG Bible School. Our desire is not simply to impart knowledge, but to help people grow in their relationship with God, understand His Word, discover their calling, and develop into the people He has created them to be.
Everything we do is ultimately centred on one purpose: helping people reach their God-given potential and walk in the fullness of what God has prepared for them.

Our Founders
Matilda Bornman
Founder · Social Worker · Therapist · Minister of the Gospel · Founder, Healing Minds Trauma Center (2021)
My name is Matilda Bornman, and I am a social worker in private practice, the founder and leading therapist of Healing Minds Trauma Center, established in 2021.
I hold an Honours degree in Social Work, which I completed in 1991, and I have accumulated 35 years of professional experience across a variety of fields within social work and therapeutic practice. My experience includes forensic social work, play therapy, trauma intervention, counselling, and therapeutic support. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, gaining valuable insight into the complexities of trauma, human behaviour, relationships, and personal development.
I am an internationally accredited therapist and have continued to expand my professional knowledge and therapeutic expertise through specialised training. I am actively involved with the Brain-Based Therapist Academy, a psychology and trauma-focused academy that provides an understanding of how the brain, trauma, behaviour, and the environment interact. This approach assists individuals in developing healthier patterns of engagement with themselves, others, and their surrounding environment.
In addition to my professional career, I have been ordained as a Minister of the Gospel since 2021. My professional and ministerial journey has strengthened my conviction that true restoration involves more than addressing circumstances on the surface. It requires understanding the individual as a whole and recognising the relationship between emotional well-being, trauma, relationships, personal development, and spiritual life.
My Purpose
My purpose is to teach and empower people to know God, the God of the Bible, and to recognise His work in their lives. I believe that knowledge, understanding, healing, and spiritual growth should work together to help individuals become the people they were created to be.
Through Healing Minds and our educational programmes, I seek to equip students with a deeper understanding of trauma, parental guidance, social media and its influence, emotional well-being, and the challenges that affect individuals and families in today’s world.
My goal is not simply to provide theological knowledge, but to help students develop practical understanding and skills that can be applied in everyday life as well as within their ministry. I want to see people experience healing, develop greater self-awareness, reach their potential, and become more effective in serving others.
I believe that every Christian can benefit from sound biblical education and a strong Bible academy. However, I also believe that effective Christian education should extend beyond theology alone. Understanding people, trauma, emotional health, relationships, parenting, society, and the world in which we live is essential for anyone seeking to minister effectively.
At the heart of my work is a desire to equip, empower, and restore. I am committed to providing students with both biblical understanding and practical tools that can assist them in navigating the natural world while also fulfilling their purpose and calling within ministry.
Through this work, my hope is to help individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves, develop healthier relationships, grow in their knowledge of God, and ultimately become the best version of themselves for the purpose and calling God has placed upon their lives.
“At the heart of my work is a desire to equip, empower, and restore — helping people become the best version of themselves for the purpose God has placed on their lives.”
Rocco Bornman
Co-Founder · Minister · Prophetic Ministry · Deliverance Ministry
My name is Rocco Bornman, and I serve in ministry with a deep conviction to see people discover their God-given identity, purpose, and potential.
On 4 August 2019, I experienced a life-changing encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. This encounter profoundly changed my perspective on ministry, my understanding of my calling, and my relationship with God. It was during this season that I was anointed into the office of the prophet and began to step into a new dimension of ministry.
In 2020, I was ordained as a minister. I have also completed a Bachelor’s degree in Prophetic Ministry, further equipping me to serve the body of Christ with greater understanding, wisdom, and biblical foundation.
Since 2019, I have been actively involved in the ministry of deliverance. Through this ministry, I have witnessed the transformative power of God in the lives of people who have been bound by circumstances, patterns, fear, and limitations. These experiences have strengthened my conviction that God desires His people to walk in freedom and fulfil the purpose for which they were created.
At the heart of my calling is a simple desire: to set the captives free.
I believe that far too many people live beneath the potential and purpose God has placed within them. Sometimes this is because of circumstances, past experiences, fear, limited understanding, or spiritual strongholds. Whatever the reason, I believe that God is able to restore, transform, and empower people to become all that He has called them to be.
It is a privilege to serve God and His people, and I remain committed to learning, growing, and serving with humility as we pursue this calling together.
“To see lives transformed, captives set free, and people equipped to fulfil their purpose for the glory of God.”
